Saxon and Norman armies clash again on the very spot where the Battle of Hastings was fought, in the 960th anniversary year of 1066.

Over 500 re-enactors bring the battle to life with mounted charges, archery and hand-to-hand combat. Explore the living history camps, watch the falconry displays, enjoy a Bayeux Tapestry performance, period music and Battle's Jester, or send the children to sword school. British Sign Language battlefield tours run on both days.

When: Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2026, 10am to 5pm.

Tickets: (book ahead to save 20%): adult £24, child (5 to 17) £12, concession £21, family (2 adults) £60, family (1 adult) £36. English Heritage members: adult £8, child £4. Tickets cost more on the day.

Getting there: it is a 10 to 15 minute walk from Battle station. Special event parking is available on Powdermill Lane (first come, first served), and Blue Badge parking is in the Abbey car park.
