Future Proofing Newhaven - petition signing

Residents in the Lewes constituency are petitioning government for an emergency national programme to provide cleaner, cheaper energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, restore nature and adapt to a changing climate.

There will be an opportunity to sign the petition at the Future Proofing Newhaven climate and nature event.

The petition, which has been approved for submission to government, also calls for a prime-time, multi-channel televised national emergency briefing to the nation from independent experts. Lewes MPJames MacCleary has agreed to present the petition.
