SEEDY SATURDAY LEWES 2026

Seedy Saturday is a much loved event that takes place annually on the first Saturday of February. It welcomes the beginning of the growing season. At its heart is the great Seed Swap with the opportunity to swap seeds you have saved or packets you no longer need or pick up some packets in exchange for a donation of 50p. There will be organic seed potatoes and onions to buy
There are independent seed merchants, bird boxes andreconditioned tools for sale. Various organisations will be selling plants as well There is a workshop with the opportunity to weave an obelisk and also another where you can learn how to sharpen secateurs. Each year we have talks and this year we are delighted to have Andrew Gaunt who will be talking on "Future Gardening Challenges" and Sarah Mayfield on "Planting for Moths". These talks are free and there is no booking required,
There is a cafe serving delicious home baked cake and coffee and tea as well as a cafe serving soup and savoury snacks.
